Three in one

I love challenges! And this week I have combined three challenges to make this Happy Birthday card.

I am really enjoying creating these cards with all the layers, I have made a few in the past week and using the same template but they are all so different. This one uses the 3 colours from the Color Throwdown challenge ctd755, the Anything Goes Challenge with AAA Birthday #52, and another Anything Goes with Retro Rubber #rrcb212, the stamp I used is Art Gallery by Stampin’ Up! and is more than 2 years old.

Sketch saturday #731

I made this card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge #731

I had the circles already cut out for another project but when I saw this sketch thought how perfect they were for this card.

I have just completed a month long challenge with Paper Craft Secrets – Creating With Confidence Facebook group. It was a lot of fun crafting every day, and revisiting some old techniques and CASE’ing some of my earlier cards, and after it was finished I found I had to recalibrate. I can’t explain what I mean by that but it took me a few days to find my crafty feet again and in this whole process discovered a new style that I am experimenting with. Watch this space!

Happy crafting, thanks for dropping by 💜…

Retro rubber challenge #212

Back with a challenge from Retro Rubber Challenge Blog again #rrcb212, Anything Goes. And I am so excited that I was chosen as their winner again for the last challenge, and won a guest designer spot on their blog again. Thank you Retro Rubber 💜

I remembered doing this reflection technique years ago but had to refresh myself on how to do it, and I love this Lovely As A Tree stamp set by Stampin’ Up! which is more than 10 years old.

Just add in #662

I’m back for another challenge, this time with Just Add Ink, and it’s a sketch challenge #662.

I had a play with my Gelli plate earlier in the week, and made some lovely colourful backgrounds, the background of this card is one of them. I kept it simple to make sure the lovely colours were the focal point of my card.

A project a day for july

Hi, it’s that time of year again, when we at Paper Craft Secrets Creating With Confidence are challenged to create something, anything, every day for a month, and this year it is the month of July. I have been quite unwell, and was not sure I’d be able to even start, but was encouraged and inspired by my friend at Paper Craft Secrets, Alicia McNamara, to not give up. I have decided that this month I am going to focus on some new techniques for me, and re-visit some older ones that I haven’t used for quite a while. This one today is a new one, using Gesso to create a stunning background. I’ve used Gesso in the past on art journals, but I don’t remember ever on a card. I struggled getting a good photo of this card, the flower is heat embossed with silver.
