The last challenge for the week was this one with TGIF Challenges, #tgifc470, Pocket Full of Posies.
I used a background die from Tim Holtz, and some Cheerful Daisies from Stampin’ Up! for the posie, and used a punch for the vase.

I love challenges, and I love sketches, and today I have a card I made for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge, #FMS633.
I have had somewhat of a break from making cards for most of this year and am again enjoying some time in my creating space. I made this one in the very early hours this morning.

There are so many blogs and Facebook groups that offer challenges for card making, and this one I love. It is a Facebook only group and for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. This week’s challenge is to say farewell to some favourite colours of mine, and the challenge was to use at least one of these colours in my card.

I have used all of the colours in my card, and combined it with a sketch from another blog, Freshly Made Sketches. See my next post for another card I made for that challenge today.

I am posting again today this time with a card for the Sketch Saturday Challenge #749. I chose to make my card with an Autumn theme.

Today I’m posting for another challenge with Retro Rubber Challenge blog #rrcb229, and it’s a Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I chose the top row of the challenge: Die cut, Sequins/Gems, and Spring.

I used Poppy Moments Dies and Peaceful Moments stamp set both from Stampin’ Up! and I’ve had them both for more than a couple of years.
I am back with a new challenge with Global Design Project. This week’s is a sketch challenge, one of my favourite ways to design a card. And with Mother’s Day just around the corner I thought it timely to make a card for my daughter. This is challenge #GDP442.

I used some old much-loved patterned paper as my background, and coloured my floral cluster stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers from Stampin’ Up! which I think gives it a lovely soft watercolour feel to the image.

I’m back this week with another TGIF Challenge, all about coffee! And before I go any further I want to thank them for choosing my card for last week’s challenge as their winner!

My card this week is a bit ‘tongue in cheek’ with a twist of truth in the quote “adulting is hard”, and it certainly can be at times. The TGIF Challenge this week is #tgif465, But first coffee…

Well it’s been a while since I’ve been in my happy place creating a card for a challenge. We’ve been doing renovations at home so it was difficult finding the time, space, motivation and inspiration to do anything other than move furniture and everything we own back and forward. In the process though I re-jigged my creative space and it looks and feels amazing. It was great to get back in there this week.
My card for this inspiration challenge for TGIF #464. I used one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets Flowing Flowers.

I have been away from Cardmaking for most of this year, we had a week away with our family which was lovely, and then we started planning for some much needed renovations which began a few weeks ago. They are all completed and our home is looking and feeling amazing. My ‘craft room’, which is also our spare bedroom, has also had a make-over and a lot of my stash has been moved to the garage, and some given away.
I have been reflecting on my need and love of Cardmaking and whether I want to continue it. For the last four years it has been my therapy, my happy place, where I go to unwind and renew and I come away from it, not only with something beautiful I have created, but with a sense of greater peace and wellbeing.
I went in there tonight and made these two cards using patterned paper, stamps and dies. I had fun! I will continue making cards but with a renewed focus. More on that later 🥰

I am back with another challenge, this time it is for Sketch Saturday #740 and Just Add Ink #681. I chose a striped paper that I had in my stash and kept to the Christmas time theme.
