Everything wonderful

This card is a copy in a way of one I saw somewhere, but don’t remember where. I just knew I wanted to make it, I didn’t have the same stamps or embossing folder, so used what I had. I love how it turned out! I used an old diagonal pattern embossing folder and turned it around to run it through again to give it the checked look.

CASE’ing is an acceptable practice in crafting, it means Copy And Share Everything! And as the Bible says, there is nothing new under the sun 🙂

Thanks for popping in,

Love

Happy Birthday

Last week I shared that I have decided to take part in a new challenge for me with Global Design Project. This is my project for this week’s challenge with them, and it’s a Sketch Challenge this time.

I had such fun making this card, I love flowers and butterflies, and I love die-cutting.

I hope you’ll hop over to Global Design Project to see what others have done with this challenge.

Floral Thank You

I have decided to take part in a new challenge with Global Design Project. I have been following them for a while and am finally taking the plunge. This challenge is a Colour Challenge using two of Stampin’ Up!’s new In Colour Range, Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet, along with a pretty pink from the Subtles range, Petal Pink.

#GDP345

I made the flowers and stencilled the background using the Petal Pink inkpad.

A Card a Day to Say Hello

A few months ago I participated in a card makers event, and learnt so many new things. One of the presenters offered a free monthly sheet to write down who you send a card to each day for that month. I had so many cards I’d made so thought what a great idea it would be to send a card a day for that month. I started well, but ran out of steam at day 15! But 15 lovely ladies will have received a card instead of a text.

Have you ever done anything like that? What do you do with all the cards you make? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

Have a beautiful day ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day

This card was made for a dual purpose, a Butterflies & Lace Challenge for the Facebook group Paper Craft Secrets and for Mother’s Day for the same group. I enjoy creating using layers and different elements, and this one has both.

P.S. I’m still trying to perfect the lighting for my photos.

I hope you all had a lovely mother’s day!

More Happiness

I am having a lot of fun with this set now. At first I was disappointed as I’m not really into colouring in stamps, but when I discovered the patterned paper goes with the dies, I really began enjoying myself. My friend suggested I watercolour before stamping, I gave that a try but it wasn’t working for me so I got out my blending brushes. This is the result.

What’s the most important thing about crafting? It’s expressing yourself, your creativity, and having fun doing it! I’ve been doing both 😃❤️

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have been enjoying yourself here and feel inspired to create your own kind of beautiful!

Hello birdie

These patterned papers are really beautiful! All I did with this one was to stamp the birds, lay the paper on some card, and add the fence, arched gate, and some flowers. And of course the cute blue bird! I love cards with lots of details and layers that can take a long while to put together, but I also like cards that are easy and quick to make, with little that can go wrong! And funnily enough, they are sometimes the ones I have the most trouble with!

Thanks again for stopping by, I hope you like what you see and feel inspired to create your own kind of beautiful 💜

Happiness abounds

Happiness Abounds is in Stampin’ Up!’s new catalogue, and the patterned paper is beautiful and some of the sheets line up with the dies. These flowers are die cut from the patterned paper! Just so beautiful! If you are in Australia and you’d like a copy of the new catalogue or you’d like to know more about Stampin’ Up! please contact me here.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you found some inspiration to create your own kind of beautiful! Have fun! 💜

Through the window

I love these papers from Stampin’ Up! called On Horizon, it makes it so simple to make a stunning card because the background scene is already done for you.

I’ve been spasmodic getting into my craft space, my creative hub, my sanctuary. I’ve had some health issues which have kept me busy going here and there for tests. Thankfully it’s all good news so far. Making time to create my cards has been helpful in getting my mind off things, mostly things I cannot do anything about. I love this quote that I saw on Facebook recently, I intend printing it out and putting it where I can see it as a reminder.

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you found something here to inspire you to create your own kind of beautiful!

Have a great day 💜
