Happy Birthday Cluster

I wanted to create a design to highlight the new beautiful Wonderful World DSP currently being offered in Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-bration this season. I also used the Happy Birthday stamp from the Calming Camellia set, and fussy cut the flower cluster from the DSP.

A Masculine Weekend

I don’t make a lot of masculine cards, I am a girly girl and love flowers and butterflies and pretty cards, but I needed to make a card for the design team I’m a part of at Paper Craft Secrets (Facebook group), and also for Father’s Day coming up. I did have a lot of fun designing and making these cards. As I mentioned I’m not great at masculine cards so I spent time scrolling Pinterest for ideas, I’m sorry I can’t credit anyone specifically, but am thankful for the inspiration.

Christmas in July

I have started making Christmas cards! I really do enjoy making cards that are so bright and colourful and bring joy to people, including myself. The papers are from Stampin’ Up!’s Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper which I am really enjoying playing with. I am calling this my “Poinsettia Collection”. The poinsettia dies are by Lady E.

This is a fancy fun fold card which is so simple to do.

I offset the patterned paper on this bottom opening card.

I went through a whole heap of previously made cards to find layouts to make these cards.

The last in this set of 4 bright and beautiful Christmas cards.

I have a PDF printable with measurements and products I used to create these lovely cards, if you’d like a copy of it please contact me here and I will send it to you.

Paper Craft Secrets : Bulk Cards

Hello, it’s time for another challenge with Paper Craft Secrets, this month we have two challenges, Bulk Cards, and Ribbon, Fabric or Lace. This one fits the bill for both of them 🙂

I made a bulk set of 10 cards, and used a retired pack of patterned paper from Stampin’ Up! with scraps from my paper scrap basket, and left overs from previous projects.

*Paper Craft Secrets, Creating With Confidence is a Facebook group which you will need to join to see and take part in the challenges. I have been a member of this group for over 2 years now, and recommend it to anyone who wants to grow and develop their creative confidence.

You can do this

I am sharing a card I made for the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge. I love this Forever Fern stamp set from Stampin’ Up!, it is so versatile and it has become my ‘go to’ set for foliage. The sketch is below. I started by die cutting a circle in the white cardstock, mounting it onto a piece of grey cardstock and tucking the stamped and die cut foliage into the gap. Very simple.

GDP #350

Congratulations

This is a very simple card which I made for some creative expression, just to play. I used fussy cut flowers from the retired Beautiful Friendship stamp set on a soft green card.

Paint the town

This is a different card for me, but when I finished it and stood back I totally fell in love with it! The layout is from a card in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue, but I used what I had so it is quite different. I will definitely make this one again. I learn so much when I see a picture of something I like, copy parts of it and begin designing and creating it in my own style.

What about you? Where do you get your inspiration from?

Have fun creating!

Love

Flowers and thanks

Most of my stamps are of flowers because I love them, and I love two-step stamping. This one is especially easy to use, as it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t exactly match up, it still looks great. I used an old Stampin’ Up! quatrefoil embossing folder on the Merry Merlot card to give some texture to the design.
