Global design project #gdp392

The challenge this week at Global Design Project is CASE the Designer #GDP392, CASE standing for Copy and Selectively Edit.

I copied the basic design, and used designer series paper instead of the stamped background, and the lovely flower from one of my favourite stamp sets, Art Gallery from Stampin’ Up! I just love this flower!

Color Throwdown #CTD471

Color Throwdown is a challenge blog I enjoy playing along with.

Today my card is for the Color Throwdown Challenge CTD741. I have created it in very muted colours using a watercolour technique on watercolour card, giving it a bit of vintage/shabby chic feel I think. I love the texture of the card.

Retro rubber challenge #205

This is my first entry into this challenge blog, Retro Rubber Challenge and this week it is a Sketch challenge RRCB205.

The idea is to use a rubber stamp more than a year old. The one I have used here is the first Stampin’ Up! stamp set I bought back in 2008/2009 and is called Heartfelt Thanks, and is still a favourite of mine.

#TGIFC418 INSPIRATION CHALLENGE

How lovely to have the opportunity to create a card for a special someone and with Mother’s Day just around the corner! That’s the challenge at TGIF Challenges this week with their Inspiration Challenge #TGIFC418. I created a floating circle and added a floral piece which I stamped and die cut to finish it off.

Watercolour wash

I did something today that I haven’t done for ages and realised how much I enjoy it, even though it’s messy and left my beautiful white table looking like it had the measles! I used to do watercolour wash on my cards and ink splattering a lot and will do more of it again. When I find an ink splatter shield 😂
