Retro rubber challenge #205

This is my first entry into this challenge blog, Retro Rubber Challenge and this week it is a Sketch challenge RRCB205.

The idea is to use a rubber stamp more than a year old. The one I have used here is the first Stampin’ Up! stamp set I bought back in 2008/2009 and is called Heartfelt Thanks, and is still a favourite of mine.

#TGIFC418 INSPIRATION CHALLENGE

How lovely to have the opportunity to create a card for a special someone and with Mother’s Day just around the corner! That’s the challenge at TGIF Challenges this week with their Inspiration Challenge #TGIFC418. I created a floating circle and added a floral piece which I stamped and die cut to finish it off.

Watercolour wash

I did something today that I haven’t done for ages and realised how much I enjoy it, even though it’s messy and left my beautiful white table looking like it had the measles! I used to do watercolour wash on my cards and ink splattering a lot and will do more of it again. When I find an ink splatter shield 😂

#tgifc417 Technique Challenge

I am again entering the TGIF Challenge, this week it’s a technique challenge, Partial Die Cutting. I have not had success with this technique in the past and was reticent about joining in, but I do love to learn new things and was determined. I am so happy with how it came together (after several failed attempts!) I used Shaded Summer set of stamps and dies from Stampin’ Up! and a piece of scrap designer series paper.
