Sketch Saturday #767 Relax!

For this challenge for Sketch Saturday #767 I chose a window setting. I love the papers with a scene on them, it helps inspire the rest of the card. I felt this scene I chose was so relaxing and went with that by adding the rocking chair and table, and added the trellis and leaves, giving the card a peaceful and relaxing theme. The greeting ‘Relax and enjoy your day!’ finished that thought.

Thank you for stopping by… Relax and enjoy YOUR day!!!

Hello to 2025

It has been quite a while since I have added anything to this blog. Life has had its challenges and I’ve hardly been creating anything at all. But I’m happy that I was able to play along with this week’s sketch for Freshly Made Sketches #668.

Just add ink #714

It’s been quite a while since I’ve entered any challenges, life has been so busy and I lost some of my creative mojo. Thankfully it has returned! I usually go for purples and reds but this colour challenge #714 with Just Add Ink inspired me, it is so rich and full of life.

I used one of my favourite stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!, Artistically Inked.

A sloth & a giraffe

I have been absent from here and from my craft room for a while, life happens, and sometimes things have to be let go of for a time. I’m happy that I found some time today. This card I made this morning is for Paper Craft Secrets, the Facebook group where I am on the Design Team. The theme for July is ‘Animals’, and I adore sloths!

It is cold and wet and grey in my part of the world today. I have a rare few hours alone, so I’m off for a nap! (and maybe another card to make 😊). Crafting (creating) is a great way to lift our spirits!

Happy crafting ❤️

Vintage thoughts

I made this card for the Global Design Project challenge, #gdp448, which is now on Facebook. It is a Case the Designer challenge. The theme for Paper Craft Secrets this month is Vintage so I combined those two challenges.

It will be my first time entering via Instagram, I tried to enter a previous one via Facebook but I didn’t see it on their page. Hopefully, I’ve done it correctly this time.

Lots of love

Firstly thank you Sketch Saturday for choosing my card as a Top 3 for the last challenge, I am truly honoured. I’m back with another challenge with Sketch Saturday Blog, #752.

I wanted to make something in the clean and simple style, and I think the embossed lines for the border frame the magnolia beautifully.

Thank you magnolia

I loved making this card using such a beautiful colour pallette from Just Add Ink for their Colour Challenge #704 this week.

Life has been a struggle lately, and I had a time where I couldn’t spend time in my craft room, but I am back in there and enjoying it, and feeling better for it. And I love participating in these challenges, they motivate and inspire me to get creating and go outside my comfort zone at times too.

Together forever #tgifc475

I’m back with some new challenges and this one is for TGIF Challenge Blog and it’s a “Happily Ever After” Challenge, #tgifc475.

I love working, or playing, with designer series patterned papers, and adding lots of layers and different textures to my cards. The flower is part of a new stamp set from Stampin’ Up! called Magnolia Mood, and I love it. I used blending brushes and ink pads on the stamp.
